Rihanna’s rep says, rumors of the two collaborating on a song called ‘Broken Heels’ are ‘not true.’
Sad news for anyone eager to hear that rumored Rihanna/Lady Gaga collaboration: It’s not happening.
That’s according to a rep for RiRi, who told MTV News on Friday (October 15) that a story about a team-up between the two artists — reportedly on a song called “Broken Heels” — was “not true.”
Earlier this week, reports began circulating that the two talents — who, between them, have more #1s on Billboard’s Pop Chart than any other artist — would be joining forces on “Heels,” which was set to be featured on Rihanna’s forthcoming album Loud. The source for those reports was an alleged scan of the album’s back cover, which listed the song as “featuring Lady Gaga.”
The rep didn’t say anything about that image to MTV, but Just Jared quotes a rep for Rihanna as saying that it’s a fake. A spokesperson for Rihanna’s label, Island/Def Jam, did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment on the matter.
