Aguilera Blames Gaga For Poor Album Sales

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – The U.K.’s Now magazine is reporting that Christina Aguilera is blaming her lack of success lately on Lady Gaga.

Her most recent album, Bionic, has only sold 200,000 copies in the U.S. since being released a few months ago in June.

Lady Gaga, however, is a chart-topping hit machine, and Aguilera worries, especially with similar styles sported in both artists’ music videos, that people – her fans included – are calling her a lighter version of Lady Gaga.

What might have been a “racy” image for Aguilera a few years ago is now nothing compared to what Gaga’s been doing…and wearing.

Now also reports that Aguilera has also been singing at private events, including weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, to compensate for her lack of ticket sales.

She also reportedly wanted to charge about $2 million per event but her hubby Jordan Bratman convinced her to lower it to about $245,000 so she’d get more gigs.

‘It’s embarrassing for someone once so successful to resort to this but blaming Gaga’s just crazy!’ says Now Magazine’s source about Gaga and Christina’s “feud.”
