GaGa is set to appear in The Simpsons as a guest star! Yeardley Smith, best known for voicing the character Lisa Simpson, spoke to Broadway.com and revealed that GaGa is not only to appear in the show, but voice herself for her appearance.
This is extraordinary! I’m stunned that she has time in her schedule that she’s coming to our studio to record. She’s playing herself, and [The Simpsons writers] describe her as the happiest, most optimistic person in the world. She comes to Springfield to try to cheer up Lisa, but she can’t. I can’t wait to see what she wears!
Smith is set to record the episode alongside GaGa on August 22nd. The episode will air during the upcoming 23rd season of The Simpsons. GaGa previously appeared on the show in a guest spot as Elton John’s date at the Golden Globe awards – but did not voice the character.
