The 60-room mansion and 200-acre estate is one of Scotland's most expensive properties, comprising of six principal bedrooms, a 1,300 square-foot ballroom and three kitchens. Estate agent Knight Frank said the mansion went on the market for £15 million ($24 million) two years ago.
Yester House also has musical connections. Built between 1699 and 1728, it was owned from the 1970s by Italian-American composer Gian Carlo Menotti, who died in 2007.
